In Hamburg, the photographic work 'Lightning Sky' by Felix Holzer was presented at the photography group exhibition Aufschlag 'Kapriolen'. On 1800 square meters, the exhibition Aufschlag took place for the fifteenth time. The vernissage attracted over 1000 visitors on the opening evening. As a result of its great popularity in recent years, the exhibition has become a favorite part of Hamburg's world of art and culture.

The photography group exhibition showed seventy works by some of Germany's most renowned photographers in two gigantic halls with a ceiling height of up to 12 meters. The theme of the exhibition was 'Caprioles'. According to the Duden dictionary, caprioles are: 1. a (droll) aerial leap; 2. a whimsical, crazy idea; a high-spirited prank; 3. a jump on the spot in which the horse leaps up almost vertically and kicks out with its hindquarters (when riding). Synonyms are: Leap of joy, aerial leap, silliness and fit of temperament.
Lightning Sky.
For the series of photographic works, entitled 'Lightning Sky', 'Pinky' and 'Harvey', Felix created elaborately produced and handmade sculptures of the fabulous creatures from countless colorful cubes. The fun-loving and minimalist photography series makes the play with our perception a pleasurable experience.
Pinky.
Usually, all contemporary digital photographs consist of millions of picture dots, the pixels. They were invented back in 1957 by the American computer engineer Russell Kirsch when he built a scanner. In this series, they are now reduced to the maximum.
Harvey.
The series of large-format photographs is presented in white maple frames with photo prints mounted on aluminum dibond. The editions curated by Felix Holzer can be purchased on the site.
